Meet The Team – Tim Cantello, Digicall Assist, Service Provider Manager

Meet Tim Cantello, our long-serving, bearded manager of our large and growing network of mechanics who provide roadside across Australia.

How long have you been working at Digicall Assist?

I’ve been with this team in total for 8 years. In my previous life I also worked as a mechanic and workshop manager and did roadside assistance so I’ve worked end to end in the Automotive space and have been in the industry since I was 17.

What do you do?

I manage over 1,200 companies who provide services on behalf our clients and ensuring that service is available across the nation. I also manage compliance and adherence and network development. I also look after EACO development (our dispatch invoicing and compliance software). 

What’s the best thing about your job?

Seeing the results of our providers hard work in difficult situations, being able to help motorists when they most need it.

Sometimes our service is absolutely critical, we’ve had situations where there’s been babies or dogs locked in cars and, without the help of one of our providers and contact centre team, the outcome could be devastating. It’s great to be part of something that can have such a big impact. 

What’s been the most rewarding experience whilst working at Digicall Assist?

We had a call from a motorist who was a short walk away from our office and they were stuck in “Park” and blocking the car park entry. It was a VIP client, we could get there quicker than anyone else by foot due to traffic. I personally went down there with a set of tools and mobilised the vehicle. Here we have a culture of doing whatever takes and getting our hands dirty. The most rewarding part is being able to help someone get on their way immediately without them being inconvenienced further.

What are you famous for?

Simply, aesthetically my beard! It’s a significant beard. Also, my passion for helping our customers quickly and the right way.
