Digicall Assist’s world-class data security officially certified

We’re very pleased to announce that Digicall Assist has been awarded ISO 27001 (Information Security Management) certification. ISO 27001 is a globally recognised information security standard that certifies that rigorous data handling and security systems and processes are in place.

Along with Digicall Assist’s investment in enterprise grade security hardware and supporting software, the certification verifies that we have comprehensive processes to ensure data is used, stored and accessed with appropriate security controls.

Digicall Assist CEO, Michael Curtin, explained why Digicall Assist undertook the significant certification process. “Our partners are under increasing scrutiny regarding data protection. This certification provides a clear and unambiguous statement about our commitment to data security. It gives our partners the confidence that their brand reputation, as well as ours, is protected. We see it as a critical element in our mission to be Australia’s most trusted B2B roadside assistance provider.”

The certification is evidence that Digicall Assist properly manages the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, and uses a risk management approach to mitigate threats. It is the most recognised information security standard in the world.

In order to achieve the certification, Digicall Assist had to demonstrate an ongoing and systematic approach to managing and protecting company and customer data, which was validated by an independent audit firm. The audit comprised two stages, each a months-long comprehensive process. Digicall Assist passed both Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the audit process with zero ‘non-conforms’, in itself a major achievement.

Underpinning the systems and processes is Digicall Assist’s organisational culture, that places a strong emphasis on excellence and integrity. The commitment to data security is built-in to all business-as-usual activities, from the way people work each day, to how visitors are managed, to how employees are on- and off-boarded. Data security is part of the culture.

Michael added, “Digicall Assist is well on its digital transformation journey. The ISO certification is an important step in improving our information security posture, and part of our overarching strategy of redefining the roadside assistance customer experience.”
